림과 스포크와 달리 허브는 휠 부품중 적절한 관리를 할 경우 10~20년 이상 사용이 가능한 부품이기에 Growtac EQUAL Hub는 관리가 덜 필요하면서도 손쉽게 유지관리할 수 있고 더 오랜동안 성능을 발휘할 수 있는 내구성이 탁월한 로드 및 그래블 휠셋용 허브를 개발하였다.

FEATURES

• 손쉬운 유지관리와 고장없는 내구성 - EQUAL disc hub는 손쉬운 유지관리와 고장없는 내구성좋은 장거리 운행을 개발목표로 삼고 개발된 그로우택의 디스크 브레이크 휠용 허브이다. 따라서, 새로운 매커니즘 적용이나 조경량의 무게를 지닌 허브는 아니다.
• 자동 베어링 사전장착 기능 - 언제나 최적의 베어링 볼 접촉이 가능한 자동 사전장착 기능 (auto preload function for optimum ball contact)이 적용되어 있어 스루액슬이 과도하게 강하게 장착되었거나 프레임이 상당히 뒤틀린 상태에서도 최적의 볼 접촉을 유지하여 가벼운 회전을 유지하며 볼 접촉 조정을 위한 별도의 작업이 불필요하다.

• CHEMICAL LABYRINTH SEAL - 베어링앞에 실링(seal ring)을 장착하고 베어링과 실링사이에 그리스(grease)를 도포하여 구조적으로 화학적으로 방수와 방오기능을 향상시켰다. 사용된 실링(seal ring)은 레진 또는 고무와 같은 시간이 지나면서 약화되는 소재가 아니기에 어떠한 교체없이 유지관리만으로 방수와 방오기능을 유지할 수 있다. 추가적으로 그리스(grease)를 의도적으로 닦아냄으로써 회전성능을 강화하는 튜닝이 가능하다. 다만 이 경우 방수와 방오기능이 줄어든다.

• CAPLESS INTEGRATED SHAFT - 캡이 없는 통합된 허브축이 적용되어 캡이 있는 구조와 달리 예측못한 분리를 방지할 뿐 아니라 허브축 끝단의 강성을 증가시켜준다. 추가적으로 가지고 있는 헥스렌치(hex wrench)만으로 분해가 가능하여 유지관리도 용이하다. 

• 검증된 3-JAW TYPE - 프리 허브바디는 검증된 3-jaw type이 적용되었고 Shimano HG, SRAM XD/XDR, Campagnolo 3가지를 지원한다. Shimano HG body경우에는 anti-bite 사양이 적용되어 오랜 사용에도 카세트로부터 허브바디가 상처입는 것을 방지해준다.

• EASY MAINTENANCE & LONG-TERM TROUBLE-FREE DURABILITY - EQUAL disc hubs were developed with the goal of easy maintenance and long-term trouble-free operation, not with novel mechanisms or excessive light weight.
• AUTO BEARING PRELOAD FUNCTION - It is also equipped with an auto preload function for optimum ball contact at any time. Even when the through-axle shaft is strongly tightened or the frame is twisted significantly, it maintains light rotation with optimum ball contact.In addition, maintenance is easy with no need for ball contact adjustment work.

• CHEMICAL LABYRINTH SEAL - By placing a seal ring in front of the bearing and filling the gap with grease, we have improved the waterproof and dustproof properties by utilizing both structure and chemicals.Since the seal ring part is not made of materials that deteriorate, such as resin or rubber, the waterproof and dustproof performance can be restored just by performing maintenance without replacing any parts.Additionally, by intentionally wiping off the grease, it is possible to perform tuning* that emphasizes rotational performance. *Waterproof and dustproof performance will be reduced

• CAPLESS INTEGRATED SHAFT - Designed as a capless integrated shaft.Unlike the cap structure, it not only prevents unexpected disassembly, but also increases the rigidity of the shaft end.Additionally, it can be disassembled using your own hex wrench, making maintenance easy.

• PROVEN 3-JAW TYPE - The free body is a proven 3-jaw type. You can choose from Shimano HG, SRAM XD/XDR, and Campagnolo. The Shimano HG body has an anti-bite specification that prevents the sprocket from biting even after prolonged use.
