THE PURPOSE

130kg까지의 무게를 위해 32개의 스포크를 적용하여 강성과 내구성을 향상시킨 연중 사용이 가능한 (year-round wheelset) 휠셋으로 4 season hub와 조합을 이루어 당신이 원하는 만큼 자주 험하게 탈 수 있는 휠셋이다. 림 형상은 Hunt Superdura Dynamo disc wheels에 사용된 것과 같이 30mm이상의 광폭 타이어에 최적화되어 장착시 훌륭한 타이어 형상을 만들어준다. 모든 사양의 목표는 휠셋의 내구성을 증대하는 것에 맞추어져 황동니플 (brass nipples)은 부식 방지가 가능하고 스포크는 J-bend triple-butted spokes가 적용되어 최대의 강성을 확보합니다. 

CHARACTERISTICS

• RIMS: 더 강해진 6069-T6 (+69% 인장 강도 vs 6061-T6) 열처리되고 비대칭 형상을 가진 림으로 좌우 균형된 더 높은 스포크 텐션이 가능하여 더 오랜 동안 스포크 텐션을 유지할 수 있다. 디스크 전용 림으로 브레이크 접지면의 추가 보강이 필요없기에 무게 대비 높은 강도를 가지며 24mm의 외부폭과 19mm 내부폭으로 25-50mm 타이어 장착시 최고의 타이어 형상을 이루게 해주어 탁월한 그립력과 더 낮은 구름저항을 실현한다. 
• SPOKES: 최고 등급의 Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement PSR XTRA model을 적용하였으며 이 triple butted spoke는 보다 가볍고 텐션과 피로도 조항성이 높다. 이 PSR J-bend spoke는 스트레스받는 부위에 보다 많은 보강을 한 2.2mm 헤드폭을 가지며 니플은 6각 헤드를 가져 보다 정교한 텐션 조절이 가능하다. 이러한 부품들이 전문 휠빌더들에 의해 조립되어 완변한 성능을 발휘하도록 해준다.
• BEARINGS: 휠의 심장인 베어링은 아낌없는 투자가 필요한 부품이기에 최악의 날씨에서도 최상의 성능을 발휘할 수 있도록 특별히 특허받은 방수 그리스와 탁월한 구름성을 가진 초정밀 베어링을 적용하였다. 
• FREEHUB BODY: 내구성은 모든 Hunt 휠셋의 동일한 목표로 독자 개발한 H_CERAMIK coating 프리허브 또한 탁월한 내구성과 스프라켓으로 인한 데미지를 방지해주는 코팅이 적용되어 있어 일반 알로이 프리허브 바디에서 볼 수 있는 스프라켓으로 인한 손상을 막아준다. 
• RIM BED: 독자적인 튜브리스 레디 림 형상인 H-Lock이 적용되었으며 이는 처음 튜브리스 타이어 장착을 용이하게 해주고 손쉽게 밀봉될 수 있도록 해주는 디자인이 적용되어 있다. 또한 한번 장착되면 보다 확실하게 타이어 비드가 자리매김하여 보다 낮은 공기압에서도 사용할 수 있는 장점이 있다.  
• NIPPLES: 고급 황동 니플을 적용하여 강하고 부식이 없으며 자체 윤활 기능을 가지고 있어 겨울철 염화칼슘 등으로 인한 나사선이 부식되는 것을 막아준다.  일반적인 4각 바디와 함께 6각 헤드를 가진 스포크로 정밀한 텐션 조정이 가능하다.

THE PURPOSE

The year-round wheelset for riders up to 130kg. Higher 32 spoke count increases stiffness and durability, so when paired with our 4 season hubs, this makes for a wheelset ready to be ridden as hard and as often as you want! The rim features the same profile as our Superdura Dynamo disc wheels which allows for a great tire profile with bigger tires (30mm+). All of the specs aim to increase the durability of this wheelset so we chose to use brass nipples for anti-corrosion resistance and J-bend triple-butted spokes for maximum stiffness. These wheels are really ready for anything you throw at them!

CHARACTERISTICS

RIMS: Extra strong 6069-T6 (+69% tensile strength vs 6061-T6) heat-treated rim, featuring an asymmetric shape, provides balanced higher spoke tensions meaning your spokes stay tight for the long term. The rim profile is disc specific which allows higher-strength to weight as no reinforcement is required for a braking surface. The extra wide rim at 24mm (19mm int) creates a great tyre profile with wider 25-50mm tyres, giving excellent grip and lower rolling resistance.

SPOKES: We chose the top-of-the-range Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement PSR XTRA models. These butted spokes are lighter and provide a greater degree of elasticity to maintain tensions and add fatigue resistance. These PSR J-bend spokes feature the 2.2 width at the spoke head providing more material in this high stress area. The nipples come with a square head so you can achieve precise tensioning. Combining these components well is key which is why all Hunt wheels are hand-built.

BEARINGS: Bearings are the heart of any wheel and investing in them makes huge sense. This is why we use super smooth precision bearings with proprietary waterproof grease specially selected for even the worst weather in all of our 4 season wheels.

FREEHUB BODY: Durability is a theme for HUNT as time and money you spend fixing is time and money you cannot spend riding or upgrading your bikes. As a result, we've developed the H_CERAMIK coating to provide excellent durability and protect against cassette sprocket damage often seen on standard alloy freehub bodies.

RIM BED: H-Lock tubeless-ready rim bed profile. H-Lock is our tubeless-ready rim bed profile with up-kicks to the shoulders of the tubeless steps which help to create a great rim-well seal for first installation and easy sealing of tubeless tyres. The H-Lock profile also locks the beads in place more securely once seated. This is especially important when running lower pressures off road.

NIPPLES: To accompany these high-end spokes we selected brass nipples for our Hunt 4Season wheels. Brass is strong and corrosion resistant plus it has self-lubricating properties to prevent issues that can arise from grit salt on the winter roads corroding the fine threads in alloy nipples. As well as the standard square body we chose nipples with a hex head so you can achieve precise tensioning.

• Max Rider Weight I 130kgs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 110Kgs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly.
• Max Air Pressure I It is advisable to use minimum 28c tires at max 100psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset.
