THE PURPOSE

XC Wide에서 배운 모든 것을 바탕으로 이 Race version은 훨씬 더 발전하였다. 휠셋의 강도를 유지하면서 150g 까지 무게를 감량해서 레이스에서 오르막과 내리막을 모두 공략하는데 유리한 특징이다. 24mm internal 6069-T6 alloy (+69% 인장 강도 vs 6061-T6) rims이 적용되어 매우 가벼우면서도 휘는 현상이 없어 바위와 나무가 많은 XC courses에 적합하다. 5° RapidEngage Hubs와 Pillar's PSR Straight Pull Spokes의 탁월한 비뜰림 강성으로 필요할 때 페달링 파워가 휠에 최대한 전달되도록 해준다. 

FEATURES

RIMS: Race XC Wide rim은 내구성과 성능을 완벽하게 균형을 맞춘 휠셋으로 6069 T6 alloy (welded) rim은 24mm 내부폭을 가져 급격한 코너링이나 기술이 요하는 코스에서 충분한 지지력을 제공한다. 2.1"-2.35" tyres에 최적화되어있다. 

RIM BED: 다른 Hunt 휠셋과 마찬가지로 Hunt MTB line-up도 tubeless system으로 디자인되어 있다. 독자적인 H-Lock rim bead 디자인 적용으로 타이어가 장착되면 확실하게 rim bed에 결착되게 되며 타이어가 좌우로 움직이는 것을 방지하여 타이어가 빠지는 현상을 방지한다. 물론 튜브를 가진 타이어도 사용이 가능하다.

FRONT HUB: 가장 공격적인 트레일 코스에서 충분한 성능을 발휘할 수 있도록 하기 위해서 내구성이 높은 베어링과 7075-T6 series alloy axles을 적용하여 견고성을 증가시켰다. 

FREEHUB BODY: H_CERAMIK coating이 적용되어 탁월한 내구성을 보여주며 일반적인 Freehub Body에서 자주 볼 수 있는 스프라켓으로부터의 손상을 방지하여 준다.

NIPPLES: 최고급 라인인 triple butted Pillar Spokes이 적용되었으며 이 스포크는 J-Bend바로 앞의 헤드부분이 보강되었으며 매우 경량이면서도 증가하는 압력하에서 더 높은 탄성을 제공한다. 

WEIGHT: 최고 품질의 경량 Pillar triple butted spokes를 적용하여 더 많은 스포크를 사용하였음에도 무게 증가없이 더 강한 휠셋을 만들었다.

THE PURPOSE

Building on everything we learnt with the XC Wide; the Race version takes things even further. Saving nearly 150g whilst not sacrificing any strength, this is the perfect choice for when you're attacking both the ups, and downs, at race pace.

With 24mm internal 6069-T6 alloy (+69% tensile strength vs 6061-T6) rims they are no flexy featherweights- built to handle the demands of today’s rocky and rooty XC courses or be fitted to the new breed of long-legged “downcountry” bikes.

With 5° RapidEngage Hubs and excellent torsional strength from Pillar's PSR Straight Pull Spokes, they'll make every pedal stroke count when it's needed most.

FEATURES

RIMS: The Race XC Wide rim strikes the perfect balance between durability and performance making sure every ride is better than the last. The 6069 T6 alloy (welded) rim features a 24mm internal width to provide support during hard cornering or when throttling through techy sections. Optimized for 2.1"-2.35" tyres. It may be light but the Race XC Wide won't hold you back.

RIM BED: Like all of our wheels, the Hunt MTB line-up is designed to be used as a tubeless system. Featuring a H-Lock rim bead with 'up-kicks' to the shoulders of the rim bed secures your tyre when seated. This prevents side-to-side movement reducing the chance of burping your tyre. It creates a great rim-well seal for first installation and easy sealing of tubeless tyres. Still haven't made the switch? All our wheels are tube compatible as well.

WEIGHT: Mountain bikers aren't concerned about weight, right? Nope! Whether you're doing a back-country epic or pedalling between stages, we have paid attention to weight to suit the type of riding they will be subjected too. For example, using the highest quality Pillar triple butted spokes with PSR (Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement) has allowed us to not only create a stronger wheel with a higher spoke count, but one which does not add a weight penalty.

FRONT HUB: Suited to match the needs of the modern trail bike rider. Featuring durable bearings and 7075-T6 series alloy axles to increase stiffness. These hubs have been selected based on their ability to perform on the most aggressive trails.

FREEHUB BODY: Durability is a theme for HUNT as time and money you spend fixing is time and money you cannot spend riding or upgrading your bikes. As a result, we've developed the H_CERAMIK coating to provide excellent durability and protect against cassette sprocket damage often seen on standard alloy freehub bodies.

SPOKES: We have chosen top of the line, straight pull Pillar Spokes for excellent torsional strength and power transfer. Not only are these spokes extremely lightweight, they are also able to provide a greater degree of elasticity when put under increased stress. The Pillar Spoke Reinforcement (PSR) puts more material at the spoke head to prevent failure in this stress area.

• Max Tire Pressure I 60psi when used with an inner tube and 50psi when running the wheel set-up tubeless. 
• Max Rider Weight I 120kgs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 110Kgs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly and it is advisable to use tires at max 40psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset.
