궁극의 레이싱 퍼포먼스 스틸 로드 바이크에서 고려할 수 있는 절정에 이른 Strive model은 Columbus XCr 스테인레스 스틸, Columbus Spirit 스틸, 그리고 카본 등 최고의 소재들의 독특한 조합으로 모든 면에서 레이싱 머신으로 최적화된 프레임세트이다.  각 튜브는 세부적인 중요요소들을 유지하면서 형상(profile)과 성능(performance)를 위해 선택된다. 첫눈에 깔끔하고 하나로 통합된 디자인을 가지며 더 가까이 관찰할 때 세밀한 디테일들이 눈에 들어오게 된다. 라이더와 함께 제작은 시작되며 우리는 최상의 성능과 효율성을 염두해두고 하나 하나의 프레임을 디자인하고 제작한다. 스피드(speed)를 위해 중요한 부위의 경우 편안한 승차감(comfort)과는 타협하지 않고 단단하게(stiff) 제작된다. 일체화된 카본 시트포스트 튜브와 수직 방향으로 유연성있는 시트 스테이들 그리고 32mm 타이어까지 장착할 수 있는 클리어런스(clearance)를 가진다. 익숙한 클래식한 라인들과 full internal cabling, wireless shifting 그리고 flat mount disc brakes와 같은 현대적인 특징들을 가진 현재와 미래를 위한 궁극의 퍼포먼스 로드 바이크이다. Power transfer, responsive steering 그리고 rider comfort를 위해 최적화되어 오르막 코스뿐 아니라 평지 코스에서도 그 성능을 충분히 발휘한다.

FRAME DETAILS

체인 스테이(chain stays)와 헤드튜브(head tube)는 Columbus XCr 스테인레스 스틸로 제작하여 최강의 파워 전달력(maximum power transfer)과 직접적이고 민감한 반응성을 가진 스티어링(direct and responsive steering)을 제공한다. 탑튜브(top tube)는 눈에 잘 안띠는 육각형 형태로 수직 방향의 유연성(vertical compliance)을 유지하면서 추가적인 수평 방향의 강직성(lateral stiffness)을 확보하기 위해 타원형을 이룬다. 다운튜브(down tube)는 독특한 공기역학적 비행기 날개 단면의 형상과 full internal cabling과 T47 threaded bottom bracket을 포함하고 있다.

PRICING AND DEPOSIT

프레임세트(frame, fork and headset)의 가격은 각 모델별로 표기되어 있으며 기본 프레임 가격은 단일 칼라 페인트 비용(single colour paint scheme)이 포함된 가격입니다. House Paint Scheme의 경우 추가 비용이 발생되며 full custom bespoke paint design의 경우 최종 디자인의 복잡성에 따라서 개별적으로 비용이 산정됩니다. 완성차의 비용은 개별적으로 선택된 부품의 종류에 따라 달라집니다. 

INFORMATION WE REQUIRE

모든 Saffron bikes는 각 라이더에게 맞춤형 지오메트리로 제작되기에 프레임 디자인을 위해 라이더로부터 정보가 필요합니다. 즉, 라이더 자신, 라이딩 이력, 향후 라이딩 목표와 제작하는 자전거로 라이딩하려는 계획에 대해 정보가 필요합니다. 이러한 정보는 핸들링 특성을 디자인하는데 도움을 주게 됩니다.  제공되는 fitment form을 완성하기 위해서 professional bike fitter를 방문하여 수치를 측정후 기록하여 제출해주세요. 가급적이면 bike fitter가 직접 측정값들을 작서애주도록 요청해주세요.  만약에 현재 타고 계시는 자전거가 완벽하게 맞고 편하시다면 그 자전거의 수치를 적어서 보내주셔도 됩니다. 

PAINT DESIGN

모든 바이크에 single colour options이 기본으로 적용됩니다. 추가적으로 제공되는 special edition House Scheme의 경우 Saffron online에 보여지는 이미지들과 같은 페인팅으로 추가비용이 발생합니다. 완전히 독특한 자신만의 페인팅을 원하실 경우 full custom paint design service를 이용하실 수 있으며 Saffron in-house designer와 상당을 통해 페인팅 디자인을 완성하게 되며 개별적으로 비용이 달라집니다.

Made from a unique mix of the finest materials, every aspect of the Strive is optimised, culminating in what we consider to be the ultimate performance steel road bike. Each tube has been selected for its profile and performance whilst maintaining a subtlety. At a glance, it has a clean and unified design. Only on closer inspection do the details emerge. Starting with the rider, we design and make each frame to fit with maximum performance and efficiency in mind. Stiff where it matters, it’s built for speed without compromising on comfort. Featuring an integrated carbon seat tube, vertically compliant seat stays and clearance for up to 32mm tyres. With familiar lines and modern features including full internal cabling, wireless shifting and flat mount disc brakes, it’s the ultimate performance model for today and the future. Optimised for power transfer, responsive steering and rider comfort, it holds its own on the flat as well as the climbs.

FRAME DETAILS

The frame uses stainless steel chainstays and headtube for maximum power transfer and direct, responsive steering. The top tube has a subtle hexagonal form to it and is ovalised for additional lateral stiffness whilst maintaining vertical compliance. The down tube has a unique aerodynamic truncated airfoil shaped cross section and hides full internal cabling down to the T47 threaded bottom bracket.

Once your frame geometry has been designed, a component consultation is available where we discuss which components would work best on your build. We can supply finishing kit components from a wide variety of manufacturers and will help you select parts to complement your build and ensure you’re in the best position. We also have a vast selection of handbuilt or off the shelf wheel options available.

PRICING AND DEPOSIT

Pricing for framesets (frame, fork and headset) is shown on the pages for each of the models. The base price includes your choice of single colour paint scheme. An upgrade to the House Scheme is available at an additional cost. The full custom bespoke paint design service is priced on an individual basis based on the complexity of the final design. Pricing for full builds is dependent on which of the wide range of components available are selected and so are also priced on a individual basis. An initial deposit is required to secure your slot in our build queue and this is equivalent to 40% of the base frame cost excluding components. This is non-refundable. For full builds, after a consultation to discuss components, you can approve the selection and then make a payment for the components. The final payment, due after your frame build is complete, will be for the remaining frame cost, any paint upgrade options and the delivery. See overview of the timeline above.

INFORMATION WE REQUIRE

Since all of our bikes have custom geometry to fit each rider, we will require some information from you to design your frame. We ask for a consultation with you to discuss some information about yourself, your riding history, any future riding goals you have and what type of riding you plan to use your bike for. This will help inform us of how to design your bike’s handling characteristics. We will provide you with a fitment form to complete. We recommend going to a professional bike fitter to ensure the measurements you provide to us will put you in an optimal riding position for your comfort and performance. It is recommended to ask your fitter to fill it in directly. There may be some measurements which differ slightly but not obviously from those which they would measure by default. If you feel completely comfortable on your current bike, you can carefully take the measurements yourself.

PAINT DESIGN

We have a selection of single colour options available for all bikes or choose our special edition House Scheme as featured on the bike in the images on this page. If you are looking for something completely unique, we also offer a full custom paint design service. This involves a consultation with our in-house designer who can take your inspiration and turn it into a one-off, full custom paint design.
